Trend Alert ~ Side Part Bobs

Posted on Leave a commentPosted in Trend Alerts

by Nikki ~ Product Education Director

There are a few unlikely alliances for Fall 2025 style and product innovation trends.  Hair trends are at opposite ends of the style spectrum, ranging from dramatically coiffed to understated and undone.  While ingredient technology and consumer demand for multifunctional, time saving products make for a perfect pairing.

This season, styling becomes the focus with precision crafted updo’s starring opposite low maintenance relaxed waves.  Then there’s the battle of the parts.  Short boxed bobs with side parts compete with long sleek styled hair with center parts.  But the partnership between polar opposite hairstyling and analogous product trends make for some off the charts amazing looking hair.

The ongoing Box Bob trend continues but with a new twist.  Box bobs are now trending with either side or off center parts.  We’ve always been advocates for letting the growth pattern of the front hairline and face shape determine the best place to part the hair, so this opens up the possibilities for those not able to wear or achieve a center part.

The structured look of a Box Bob requires a precise blunt bottom line and glossy, healthy looking hair and absolutely zero frizz.  So we’ve introduced the use of some highly specialized USDA Certified Organic hydrating oils to add moisture and sheen to the hair.  Our Tela Beauty Organics Frizz Buster Dry Texture Anti-Frizz Styling Spray contains our proprietary blend of nutrient rich oils Organic Quinoa, Baobab, Sunflower, and Lavender that lock in moisture for exceptional anti-frizz control, shine and manageability.

Tela Frizz Buster is perfect for finishing Box Bob styles and helps them stay frizz free throughout the day.  Mist on dry hair to help eliminate frizz on the part-line and front hairline.  Plus Tela Frizz Buster does have a smidgen of hold so it can be used at the root for light lift and dry scrunched into hair to create some movement if desired.

A Philip Pelusi Micro Class – Multitask to Deep Condition = Beautiful Hair!

Posted on Leave a commentPosted in Micro Classes

Life moves fast so to keep up while maintaining healthy looking and well performing hair, a little help is here to make things easier and dare we say multitask your hair repair?!

Let’s break it down…  What is the Powerhouse Microemulsion in P2 RepairHair?  The Wheat Protein PG-Propyl Silanetriol Blend in the P2 RepairHair is one of Philip’s high-tech microemulsions containing tiny microns of Wheat Protein combined with a weightless hydrating blend to help protect and strengthen the hair and seal in color.

Micro, meaning small.  Emulsion, meaning mixture.  Philip’s use of Microemulsion Technology does to amazing things.  1st it helps make Philip’s dynamic ingredients small enough to penetrate effectively into the hair shaft.  Otherwise, ingredients would either lay on the outside of the hair or simply get washed down the drain.

2nd Microemulsion Technology enables Philip and his team of super science chemists create these incredible microemulsions threaded throughout P2 by Philip Pelusi and Tela Beauty Organics by Philip Pelusi such as the Wheat Protein PG-Propyl Silanetriol Blend in the P2 RepairHair.

Multitasking wonder…  100% get ready to add P2 RepairHair into your or your Guest’s hair routine, whether they blow dry and or flat or curling iron their hair, or use any heat styling tool.  The heat actually helps turns this ingredient mix into a deep conditioning machine with this product!  Heat speeds up and deepens the penetration of these size perfected molecules!

So while you are styling your hair, this product is actually not only helping to protect hair but fortify it as well!  Plus incredible color and heat protection resulting in a smooth healthy looking cuticle layer with lustrous shine!

Trend Alert ~ Center Sleek

by Nikki ~ Product Education Director

Competing with this season’s wavier texture trends is a reincarnation of “Cher hair” from the 70’s but with an even crisper, shinier finish.  Hair is first blown out smooth then flat ironed pin straight starting close to the head to produce a zero volume look.  So this look is worn close to the head with heat protection required during both of these styling phases.

So we are recommending our recently reformulated multi-task wonder P2 by Philip Pelusi BrilliantHair Smart Styling Treatment.  It should be first applied to clean conditioned damp hair prior to blow-drying and again throughout blowout to tame texture.  Then, lightly mist on again before and during for flat ironing then if needed, as a final glossy mist to finish.  Dial this usage up or down depending the amount of hair and its texture.  P2 BrilliantHair can be universally used but apply more sparingly on baby fine, sparse hair.

Reformulated to be Silicone Free and Vegan, P2 by Philip Pelusi BrilliantHair contains the latest innovations in naturally derived chemistry to replace those Silicones and other “Franken Chemicals”.  When we originally created P2 BrilliantHair, it was formulated in an era when “Silicones” were not yet moving into the regulatory and marketing-adverse spotlight.  Whereas this revamped P2 BrilliantHair is a new Silicone-free “clean and compliant” product that conforms to current regulatory issues.

P2 BrilliantHair delivers the same incredible product functionality everyone has come to know and love in our original formula.  And because of this formula update, we are able to achieve over-the-top heat styling, sun and anti-color fade protection.  Zero hold, this product allows the hair to swing and stay moveable perfect for this trend.

P2 BrilliantHair has been updated with Organic Baobab Seed and Jojoba Oils to hydrate, creates lustrous shine and provide heat protection and frizz reduction.  We choose the finest cold-pressed oils, meaning they retain nutritional value while still feeling light on the hair.

We also added the latest biotech-derived ingredient, Hemisqualane as a key source of antioxidants beneficial to hair color preservation plus moisture and increased shine.  Historically based on animal sources, this Silicone replacement is strictly vegan in that it is derived from biotech plant sources.

Additionally, our Hydro Charged Pelusi Ceramide Complex also joins the silicone-free P2 BrilliantHair ingredient listing for top notch color protection.  This universal-texture complex of plant derived ceramides mimics the ceramides (known as lipids) found between cuticle layers.  It helps seal each cuticle layer to each other and to the cortex helping seal in color molecules below.  This proprietary mixture strengthens, hydrates, helps protect color and creates shine

Plus, Tomato Fruit Extract helps fortify hair with vitamins and minerals including Calcium, Iron, Magnesium, Phosphorus, Potassium, Zinc, Copper, Selenium, Vitamin B6, B12 and Folate (a form of Vitamin B9).  Tomato Fruit Extract is also rich in antioxidants Vitamins A, C and E that help protect hair strength and chemically and color treated hair.

Reflecting today’s consumer multi-task ingredient wishes, Philip Pelusi formulas continue to be Sulfate Free, Paraben Free, Formaldehyde Free, Silicone Free, Mineral Oil Free, Retinyl Palmitate Free, Coal Tar Free, Oxybenzone Free, Hydroquinone Free, Triclosan Free, Triclocarban Free, PEG-Free, Dioxane-Free, Synthetic Dyes Free, GMO Free, Silicone Free, Cruelty Free and never tested on animals.
