Our incredible Designer Aja styled Star Tori Spelling for an exciting event here in Pittsburgh!  Actress Tori Spelling is best known for the TV series Beverly Hills 90210 and movie The House of Yes.  Get the exciting scoop from Aja in her interview below!  Plus an amazing photo at the event! Congratulations Aja!

Q – What was the event you styled Tori Spelling for and how did that influence the style you chose?

A – “The event was hosted by Steel City Comic Con which honored many talented older actors who have impacted the movie industry in a major way.”

Q – What was your inspiration for the look you created?

A – “The inspiration that I tried to achieve was a ‘natural glam look’.  Though celebrities like to look glamorous with a full face of makeup, I wanted Tori to still look recognizable to her fans.”

Q – What products did you use to create the look?

A – “P2 by Philip Pelusi RefresHair and P2 Rivet Hairspray for styling her hair, plus airbrush makeup.”

Q – What did you enjoy most about the experience?

A – “What I enjoyed the most was the opportunity to visit Hotel Monaco and take in all the art that it offered.  The art is alluring.”

Q – With this being such a landmark career experience, how do you plan on sharing this exciting experience with your own Guests?

A – “I do plan on sharing this experience with my guests, and the pleasure of doing so would be since my guests are a little older, they would appreciate the experience I had a little more than the small percentage of younger guests that I have.”

Q – Based on this experience, what words of wisdom would you like to pass on to inspire New Talent?

A – “What I could say based on my experience would be to listen to the client.  Even though it may be a celebrity and you want to WOW them by doing what you think would be best, at the end of the day, they are your client at that moment, so listen to how they prefer to be styled.”

Our incredible Salon Group Leader and Designer Gina at Philip Pelusi Cranberry Springs styled Star Rosie O’Donnell over the weekend for an exciting event here in Pittsburgh!  Actress and Comedian Rosie O’Donnell is best known for movies A League of Their Own and Sleepless in Seattle.  Get the exciting scoop from Gina in her interview below!  Plus all the amazing photos!  Congratulations Gina!

Q – What was the event you styled Rosie O’Donnell for and how did that influence the style you chose?

A – “This event was the Steel-City Comic Con in Monroeville.  I have to be honest LOL I wish I had an influence.  I asked her which way her hair she liked her hair to go and then the rest happened organically.”

Q – What was your inspiration for the look you created?

A – “She is an edgy natural woman.  Her hair did the talking and I followed thru.”

Q – What products did you use to create the look?

A – “I used P2 by Philip Pelusi Liquid Mousse, P2 Honey, P2 Soft Wax and P2 Rivet Spray for Friday’s event show and P2 Industrial on Saturday with the wind storm we had.”

Q – What did you enjoy most about the experience?

A – “First and foremost to meet someone that growing up my mother and I watched all of her TV shows…to see a person that you watched in movies over and over again growing up.  This was such a surreal experience and to see that she has an amazing soul and so down to earth is a memory I will never forget!”

Q – With this being such a landmark career experience, how do you plan on sharing this exciting experience with your own Guests?

A – “Oh this is funny!!!  Well when I got the news I had this opportunity I was telling my guests already ‘Hey you know you have a celebrity stylist doing your hair now!’.  They looked at me and laughed and said oh really?  I said yes, Ms. Rosie O’Donnell.  They were like get out of town excited!  Then said, does this mean your prices are going up again LOL!”

Q – Based on this experience, what words of wisdom would you like to pass on to inspire New Talent?

A – “The one thing I’m truly adamant about is always saying to anyone never limit yourself!  Never say no I don’t do that service or no I can’t I’m nervous!  You are your only roadblock.  If I would have said no I would have looked back and never had this opportunity of a lifetime!  Doors open for a reason take it and go on that path!”
