From the Philip Pelusi Film Studios…Introducing “The Evolution of Philip Pelusi”

Cheers to our Founder & CEO Philip Pelusi and the entire company, as he celebrates 60 years in business!  To mark this momentous occasion, Philip commissioned a film to highlight his career history and company journey, beginning in 1964 when he got his first job in the industry right after graduating from Pittsburgh Beauty Academy.

Titled “The Evolution of Philip Pelusi”, this film honors key points of the extensive company history using as much visual imagery as possible from over the decades spanning the 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s, 00’s, and 2025.  Plus, there’s more in the extensive ending film credits! 

The full film version clocks in at 6 ½ hours and over the next couple days will start to play on the Philip Pelusi Salon TV Screens and soon on Busystylist.com.  View, stop, and continue to play at your leisure.  You won’t want to miss a minute!  Shorter clips for social media will also be posted over the next year.  We will keep you in the loop when this all happens!

Get ready to be blown away by each exciting step of this phenomenal journey, legendary accomplishments, beautiful imagery, and the incredible amount of talent displayed over these many decades, and all set to dance worthy music fitting for each era.  So get ready to view “The Evolution of Philip Pelusi” or dare we say, the revolution of Philip Pelusi!

Philip designs and creates every Philip Pelusi haircare formula!  So, having all New Talent view and attend product classes is a standard of excellence at Philip Pelusi.  Today, Philip Pelusi Product Education takes place on www.busystylist.com, in The New Talent Salon, and The Philip Pelusi Center for Talent Development New Talent Classes in 2026!

1st On www.busystylist.com by viewing each P2 & Tela Virtual Product Class video…

New Talent can start learning about every product on day 1!  View classes on Tela Virtual Product Classes (busystylist.com) and P2 Virtual Product Classes (busystylist.com) during uptime, in The New Talent Salon, and on times scheduled by the Salon Leader.

Salon Leaders, for each New Talent, print the New Talent Virtual Product Class Checklist (Shared Forms).  Have each New Talent should view each approx. 10 minute long Virtual Product Class Video, then fill in this Checklist and retain for your records within the first 1 – 3 months of employment depending on New Talent and Salon scheduling.  Salon Leaders should track Virtual Product Class attendance just as when New Talent attend classes at The Philip Pelusi Center for Talent Development.

2nd At the Philip Pelusi Center for Talent Development in 2026… 

Continuing our decades long history of product classes at The Philip Pelusi Center for Talent Development, a Product Artistry Class has been added to the New Talent Class roster taught by Nikki, Product Education Director.  This class can be attended starting on day 1 as well.  Details to come soon!

A Philip Pelusi Micro Class – The Meaning of Tela!

Did you know the name Tela translates to the word fabric?  It is the Latin word for “woven”, an apt reflection of Philip’s philosophy for hair and hair care innovation. 

Philip creates each Tela Beauty Organics formula to address every hair fabric, texture, density, condition, color, length and design.  Tela products leave the hair feeling soft, natural and modern.  And Philip recognizes hair and scalp require unique products, attention, and care.

One of the collections within Tela is Tela Beauty Organics by Philip Pelusi Modern Hair Wear.  Aptly named especially because as Philip always says, “Hair is the most important fabric we wear.  We were are hair every day.”
