A Philip Pelusi Micro Class – No Fun in the Sun…Part II?!  Pick your Potion!

Posted on Posted in Micro Classes

Did you know the sun can give hair a sunburn similar to skin?  It’s true!  The Ultra Violet Rays of the sun degrade the collagen and elastin in the skin, but it also erodes the protein in the hair.  Day to day and most definitely prolonged exposure to the sun means weak, porous, tangled, dry, dull and faded color.

This is because UV Rays erode the cuticle and eventually the cortex of the hair leaving hair porous and vulnerable to even more damage from color, chemicals and heat styling.  We know that once enough protein is chipped away, hair strands thin and eventually break off.

Help prevent damage with P2 and Tela products as they all contain some type of sunscreen or UV filters.  But it’s P2 Potion that is one of the best for this type of protection for the hair and scalp as it contains Philip’s proprietary P2 Matrix Blend consisting of 6 natural UV filters; Matricaria, Asafetida, Sage, Horseradish, Grapeseed and Blackberry.  And because P2 Potion can easily be used on every texture and density of hair, it is a no-brainer to recommend this product to everyone to use in the summer, if not all year round.

Nothing can permanently block sunlight, but with consistent use P2 Potion can help prevent and reduce a lot of this damage, helping to protect beautiful hair and color investments alike.  When in the sun, toss a bottle of this lightweight, hydrating hair groom into your beach bag.

Apply to hair before any sun exposure and then again after getting out of the water.  It can be applied to wet or dry hair and dries light as a feather with zero buildup!  Also apply every morning as your daily dose of hair sun protection just as you apply your face SPF moisturizer.
