What is the Artistic Elite Program

Posted on Posted in Uncategorized

The New Artistic Elite Level:
This is a new top-level career advancement program exclusively being offered at Philip Pelusi Salons. It allows our qualifying designers to work at higher price points. This affords them the opportunity to earn more with slightly reduced booking in order to offer a higher level of Guest Service to the Guests willing to pay a higher price point.

  • Haircuts are booked 45 Mins to 1 Hr and chemicals straight through. Haircuts booked over 1 hour requires an additional charge.
  • One hallmark of this program is to create an awareness for the value and acceptance for a $100 haircut in the consumer marketplace
  • Prices are substantially increased 25-30% over existing levels in hair color and select other services by Designer. (A part of the development of this program included extensive research into the competitive price comparisons of the salons surrounding our locations)

What needs to be in place to qualify to become an Artistic Elite Designer:

  • Technical Skills must be extremely strong in the areas of Hair color and Cutting.
  • Strong finishing skills so that their quality work is showcased as deserving of upper level pricing.
  • Pre-booking Guests 4-6 months out is absolutely necessary
  • Using Referral Program to ensure a constant influx of New Guests and being comfortable servicing New Guests. This includes using the Referral Cards as well as posting New Guest Promos on Personal Social Media accounts
  • Strong Communication Skills and Control of their Guests
  • Appearance, Attitude, and Guest Service Skills of an Elite Designer who displays an understanding of what is required to service and retain high-end Guests
  • Willing to promote self on social media on an on-going basis
  • A commitment from the Designers to promote the $100 Haircut Price point either immediately or at a pre-determined point in their progress based on where they are starting fromStrong use of the Design Team Concept is a must as some Guests may want to be transitioned to another appropriate designer.

How it all happens:

  • We research Pre-booking and current breakdown of service types performed by the designer in order to get a clear picture of what prices could be adjusted and how.
  • Price increases are discussed above current levels based on market research of competitive pricing and a plan is set on how to make this happens. (timing, how to message Guests, the turning over of Guests and to whom)
  • Promotional Pictures created for Social Media Posting on personal, company and salon social media accounts
  • Guest Announcement Letters created to support the advancement
  • Discuss Company Promotional “Boosting” of Social Media Post for the Designer in order to help build and attract New Guests to these Designers
  • Mirror graphics are created for the Designers to display to Guests
  • Discussion with Salon Guest Service Teams on how to handle this process through the desk
  • Discussions concerning the ability of these designers to be booked New Guest when available at these new prices.

Examples of Pricing Being Used:

  • Single Apps: $90 – $110
  • Highlights: $145+
  • Glossings: $55-$65
  • Creative Color $235 for first two hours
  • Female Cuts: $80 -$100
  • Craftings: $90-$100+
  • Waxes: $18-$20

How this helps each & every Designer in our salons:

The creation of the Artistic Elite Program will help pave the way for new levels of consumer awareness and understanding in the true value of the quality services they receive. It will make it easier for every designer at all levels to charge and validate their true worth in the market place as they progress. We will end up attracting a new level of Guest who place a very high value on their hair services.
